MY OWN STORY

I tried so hard to speak out

But the words just won’t come out

So I wrote my own story

I really wanted to be heard

But didn’t have any audience

So I wrote my own story

There were times I really needed someone to talk to

But didn’t have anyone to look up to

I wished someone had seen my dismay

Then perhaps it wouldn’t have turned out this way

If only you believed in me

Then there could have been a better me

I really thought the pain wouldn’t last

But oh please, you thought I was having a blast

And now look where I am

All along been called a sham

But if only it was so easy to fake

Then life would have been a piece of cake

Maybe if you had given me some more

Then I would have given life my all

You just would have acted sorry

So I wrote my own story
