Quotes_Creator_20171025_085108If I asked if you’ve ever been in a situation where your expectation turned out to be far from the reality, you’d probably have a lot to tell me. Each and every one of us has experienced such in one way or the other, whether it’s as simple as the quality of a restaurant you had been admiring, a person you’re meeting for the first time or as serious as a new job, where you thought you’d be now five years ago.

As humans, it is quite normal for us to draw out expectations of what we want to happen and when it doesn’t turn out that way, reality is a slap in our face and we may have a hard time adjusting. I’d already planned how I wanted my life to go after high school, drew out how I was going to get into college that same year, spend a specific number of years, graduate at a particular age blah blah but of course, it didn’t turn out like that.

Taking relationships as an example, maybe you already drafted out how it was going to be in your head before the said relationship even started, unconsciously setting a standard for the person even when he or she is actually unaware about them, then when the relationship doesn’t perfectly fit the picture you created, what do you do?  Terminate the relationship on the excuse that the person isn’t the perfect friend or the perfect spouse?  Or do you stay and work it out, accepting reality?  Again, this poses another question on what reality is because I’m pretty sure reality is not staying in a abusive relationship or accepting a self depreciating job, hence I need your help to complete this so I ask, what is Reality?

Reality I feel is what IS … Not what CAN BE… Where what is or can be is solely determined by the hand(s) or mind(s) involved….

Reality is the state of things in which they actually exist physically, not the way we feel it’s supposed to be or have been imagined some time ago…with little experience of life, I’ve learnt that reality will definitely change something about our expectations, either the time frame or its content, let’s always have that at the ‘front’ of our mind…but what really matters is our response to it…I’m sure during the tenure of our former president, no one perceived the economic recession coming, our expectations were so beautiful and all sort especially with the campaign of the current president but when reality set in bai, you know the rest, lol…
Very nice write up, keep up the good work

Reality for me is what God says it is.Humanely speaking our view of reality is always from an angle and from our knowledge of the situation. But God’s view and knowledge is the standard cos he knows all the facts

Reality for me is what God says it is.Humanely speaking our view of reality is always according to what we see which isn’t always true. But God has knowledge of the all facts therefore his view is the standard
