Life goes on

Yes you,

Here’s a not so pleasant reminder,

Life does not revolve around you,

I know if it did, that’d be really cute

But it doesn’t and never will,

Not now, not ever,

I know sometimes you wonder,

How the world could keep going, even faster,

When something so heart wrenching,

Feels like it lets the night go on and on never ending,

Why won’t the world stand still I find myself asking,

Or when something so joyous,

Feels like the world should have a party and celebrate,

Why won’t the world take a break from all it’s sorrow I ask

To celebrate me and the end of my troubles,

But then I hear that little voice pop inside my head again,

Yes you’re amazing

Or yes it’s a really sad situation

Or yes it’s worth the celebration

Might be unfortunate sometimes but truth is,

Life does not revolve around you,

Never did and never will,

But then the voice doesn’t stop there,

Maybe Life truly doesn’t revolve around you,

But what you do or don’t do,

In some shape or form,

Affects how you see life revolve…
