This period, we don’t leave our homes without our face masks on just because of COVID – 19!
As we all know, wearing facemasks as a preventive measure against this deadly virus and the thought of it won’t let us forget to mask up always.
I want to explain this ‘mask up’ in another way and I’m pretty sure, you’ll get to enjoy and learn from this.
Before the breakout of the epidemic, I’d always thought the use of masks was either for disguise purposes or fashion but now it’s a different case entirely. There haven’t really been severe cases as the outbreak of Coronavirus, hence a lot of us have not been subjected to the use of masks before this era. Now, we mask up now to prevent contracting the virus and help prevent the spread of it.
Here -I have a question. Have you ever thought of masking up to prevent issues that can affect our lives negatively? Issues that make us emotionally down, prevent us from forging ahead, bogs us down, and also affects those around us? Like masking up to prevent fear, negativity, pride, self-centeredness, unforgiveness, and the list goes on and on…
We are really scared of this deadly virus and we make sure we wear our masks. It is actually not easy to wear a face mask but you know, prevention is better…
I know it isn’t easy to prevent some issues from troubling our lives but we have to make constant efforts to prevent them just as we make efforts to keep wearing our masks when we don’t feel comfortable.
As we mask up to prevent COVID – 19, we should also mask up to prevent issues that affect our lives.
I would love to know your thoughts on ‘masking up’.

Good read, Ms Akinyemi.
It’s high time we paid attention to intangible things such as life’s issues.
