“God when?” One question that has popped into your mind at one point or the other when you see yet again, another cute couple post #relationshipgoals, another one on rich parents buying ferraris #otewiththemoney, another one on a successful business career #securethebag and many more. “God when” you ask, “must be nice to be them” you say.
“With everything perfect, we do not ask how it came to be, instead we rejoice in the present fact as though it came out of the ground by magic” – German philosopher, Nietzsche
No one asks, “God how”, that’s not the concern, the concern is “when is my own turn”. But we forget, we forget, that it’s not all to be seen that is seen. We forget nothing good comes easy. The relationship, the business goal, the nice life with free vacations, they don’t come easy. Work has to be done.
So it’s not enough to sit wishing for all of the nice things in life, neither is it worth it to be pressured by all you see on social media. Just like I mentioned in Do your best focus on what is in your control. Understand that just like you probably don’t share all your failures on social media like you would your wins, it is the same for others as well.
Even as the year is coming to an end, it is especially easy to be trapped in the cycle of comparison, back to the “God when”, snap out of it. Count your little wins, put in the work for more and water your own grass. I’m rooting for you
If for whatever reason however, you don’t want to to put in this said work, here’s one book I recommend for an easier way out:
LOL okay, I’m done clowning around. Seriously though, I’m rooting for you. You’ve got this!
